West 琉璃神社 RCMP is investigating a daytime break-in that happened while two people, including a child, were in the home.
The incident happened in the 3200 block of McIver Road during the morning of Aug. 10. The homeowners were out for a walk while their adult daughter and her child were in the basement.
The daughter heard a commotion upstairs but believed it was her parents back from their walk.
RCMP say a male suspect broke in, stole cash and a credit card, and then used that card at three West 琉璃神社 businesses before it was reported stolen.
Surveillance video from the businesses showed the man making transactions.
The suspect is described as:
- Wearing a dark-coloured camo shirt with a hood over his head
- Sunglasses
- A grey baseball hat
- Dark jeans
- White/orange running shoes
Anyone who sees the individual is asked to call West 琉璃神社 RCMP at 250-768-2880 and reference file number 2024-45959. Anonymous tips can be made through Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-242-8477.
