UPDATE: 4:41 p.m.
At least two vehicles crashed into the ditch along Highway 97 in the northbound lanes, just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.
RCMP are conducting traffic control on Highway 97 at Hudson Road. The highway remains open southbound.
The icy roads were a direct result of the collision. A section of the highway was closed by police so that road crews, including sanding trucks could safely treat the icy spots on the road.
Traffic is slow going in both directions and motorists are warned to use caution down and drive to the road conditions.
Tow trucks are on scene and will be removing both vehicles from the ditch.
Multiple BC Ambulances were on scene but only reported minor injuries.
Hudson Road also is causing issues for drivers as city crews make repairs following a . The City of West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç says some challenges remain, and work will be required to continue into this evening, on Wednesday, Feb. 12 and possibly on Thursday, Feb. 13.
Hudson will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 12, between Guidi and Concord Roads from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to help facilitate repairs.
