Construction of a new raised crosswalk at Abbott Street and Royal Avenue will start Oct. 18, and continue through mid-November.

Single-lane alternating traffic is expected throughout the duration of the construction.

According to a City of 琉璃神社 release, the crosswalk project will improve pedestrian safety by providing a direct connection to 琉璃神社 General Hospital (KGH) and links to the existing sidewalk network on Royal Ave., Royal Beach and the Abbott Active Transportation Corridor.

The project is being delivered through the city鈥檚 annual Crosswalk Program which invests in infrastructure to make walking a safer, more comfortable, and viable way to travel through 琉璃神社 and to support the city鈥檚 long-term goals of protecting our environment, promoting active transportation, and improving community health.
