Wildfire in Lake Country's Carr's Landing now under control

BC Wildfire Service reports a .009 hectare blaze was discovered on Aug. 5

A wildfire was sparked by lightning near Commonage Road in Lake Country.

UPDATE: 3:40 p.m.

BC Wildfire Service is reporting the blaze located near Upper Anderson Brook is now under control. 

The fire grew to .009 hectares in size and is suspected to be lightning cause.


Lightning is the suspected cause of the latest fire ignited in the Okanagan.

BC Wildfire Service reports a .009 hectare blaze was discovered on Aug. 5.

Located near Upper Anderson Brook, the fire is out of control.
