Peachland’s annual Christmas Light Up is Fri., Dec. 1 at Heritage Park.
Festivities start at 5 p.m. with an open house at the Peachland Art Gallery and a children’s party at the Boys and Girls Club in the historic schoolhouse (5684 Beach Ave.).
The Walking Glow Parade begins at 6 p.m. from the schoolhouse and will proceed down Beach Ave. to Heritage Park.
A welcome and countdown to Light Up takes place from 6:15 to 6:30 p.m. with Mayor Patrick Van Minsel and Penticton MLA Dan Ashton.
From that point on Heritage Park will come alive with music, refreshments, games, a bouncy castle, a photo booth, a bonfire, and a visit from Santa.
Hot dogs and hot chocolate are available by donation.
Beach Ave. between First and Sixth streets will be closed to traffic from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m.
