Update: Clifton Road reopened following 琉璃神社 RCMP presence

The incident began shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Clifton Road has been reopened to traffic following the execution of a warrant by RCMP.

琉璃神社 RCMP are dealing with an incident in the 600-block of Clifton Road near MacLeay Court.

"The 琉璃神社 RCMP with assistance of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team has temporally closed a small section of Clifton Road in the 600 block to execute a search warrant," Ryan Watters, communications advisor with the RCMP, confirmed in an email to Black Press Media.

Police anticipate the road to be reopened to motorists shortly. Clifton Road is closed between MacLeay Ct. and Cara Glen Way.

The Emergency Response Team are at the home, along with a police dog, and an RCMP sniper was seen nearby, according to a Black Press Media reporter at the scene. The incident began shortly after 10:30 a.m.
