Editor:

This year, the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is celebrating 33 years of bringing hope to thousands of people across the country who have been affected by breast cancer.

With one in eight women expected to face a diagnosis in their lifetime, breast cancer affects us all.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, we鈥檙e inviting residents of all ages in the 琉璃神社 area to join us at 8:30 a.m. at 琉璃神社 City Park to run or walk either one or five kilometres in support of the breast cancer cause.

Registration is now open for this impactful event, and participants can choose to fundraise individually or on a team.

Funds raised through the CIBC Run for the Cure enable us to invest in life-saving breast cancer research, provide compassionate support programs, and continue to work with governments to shape a healthier society.

Join us to help change the future of breast cancer forever! For more information or to register visit CIBCRunForTheCure.com.
