琉璃神社 RCMP are searching for the suspect who stole a poppy donation box with more than $400 inside.
The incident was reported to police on the morning of Nov. 7, after the box was taken the night before.
According to Const. Mike Della-Paolera, a Caucasian man believed to be in his mid-30s, wearing a black jacket and white scarf, entered the store about 8 p.m. Nov. 6. He was captured on surveillance, stealing the poppy donation box. The suspect then took off on foot in an unknown direction.
鈥淲e have seen this type of unfortunate crime of opportunity before and it鈥檚 always disappointing. All the money raised goes towards supporting those who have given so much to our country. To steal it is so disrespectful,鈥 said Const. Della-Paolera.
