City council has given initial consideration to three housing developments proposed for the downtown, South 琉璃神社 and Rutland.
A project planned for 3150-321-3220 St. Armand Road at KLO will see a four-lot consolidation. The rezoning application would include various housing types including townhomes, duplexes and semi-detached units.
Council also considered a development proposed for 1428 St. Paul Street, between Doyle and Bernard avenues.
The application would allow up to a 12-storey rental-only apartment building. However, staff told council the building would likely be six storeys as the site is not large enough to support a large development.
An apartment project planned for 765 Badke Road, one block south of Ben Lee Park, proposes a six-storey, 120-unit building.
The property is currently home to older duplex units. Staff told council that half of the 18 residents have relocated and the developer is assisting the rest in finding new accommodations.
