Environment Canada has issued three highway alerts for the B.C. Interior.
The special weather statement specifically warns drivers of periods of mixed rain and wet snow on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt, Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass, the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to 琉璃神社 and Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass
Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution as 鈥渕ixed precipitation,鈥 is in the forecast for high-elevation passes in B.C.鈥檚 Interior on June 3 and 4.
Environment Canada issued the statement following a Pacific frontal system moving across B.C. brings a cooler air-mass and widespread precipitation to the region.
The special weather statement will remain in effect until Tuesday, June 4.
