The Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton are both expecting 20-23 cm of snow on Friday, March 21.

According to Mother Nature, it's still winter on two B.C. highways.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass as both stretches are expecting 20-30 cm of snow on Friday, March 21.

"Periods of heavy snow will persist through this afternoon, and ease by early evening," stated Environment Canada.

The government department is asking drivers to consider postponing non-essential travel due to the conditions, and to slow down in low-visibility areas.

"Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions," added Environment Canada.

While not under any weather statements or warning, both the Coquihalla Highway from Merritt to Kamloops and the Okanagan Connector are expecting 2-4 cm of snow on Friday. The Connector also has a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening.

Additionally, Highway 1 from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass is expecting 5-10 cm of snow and also has a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon.
