It might be the first day of spring but there's still the threat of snow on multiple B.C. interior highways.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt as well as Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass on Thursday, March 20.
"A significant amount of snow accumulation could occur over high elevation highway passes from Thursday night through Friday," stated Environment Canada. "The snow level will be sufficiently low through this period to give potential for challenging driving conditions in some of the heavier bands of snow."
Both highways could experience 2-4 centimetres of new snow throughout the day.
Additionally, while not under any weather statements, the Okanagan Connector has a 30 per cent chance of flurries on Thursday.
