The Uptown Rutland Business Association (URBA) is gearing up for an exciting year ahead after electing its 2025 Board of Directors at its Annual General Meeting on March 6.
With a renewed focus on community growth and business support, the board has big plans for the Rutland area.
鈥淚鈥檝e been fortunate to call Rutland home my entire life,鈥� said URBA President Justin Bullock. 鈥淚t is a true privilege to be leading URBA to support our businesses in the ways that are important to them.鈥�
One of the board鈥檚 top priorities is exploring the creation of a true public space in Rutland, something that can rival the energy of downtown 琉璃神社.
鈥淥ur goal is to create a vibrant urban space where people can live, work, and enjoy entertainment, while also drawing visitors from across the city and beyond,鈥� Bullock explained.
Looking to build on the momentum of 琉璃神社鈥檚 'Meet Me On Bernard' program, URBA is considering launching something similar for Rutland.
鈥淧erhaps a 'Meet Me at Roxby,' where a short walk leads you to any of the 24 murals in the area,鈥� Bullock added. 鈥淲e are considering various possibilities and encourage the community to share their input.鈥�
Another key focus will be evaluating URBA events to determine which ones provide the best return on investment for its members.
