Vehicle fire in Vernon under investigation

Mini van discovered burning away in parking lot of Village Market Tuesday morning, March 4

The shell is all that remains of a grey mini-van discovered on fire at a Vernon grocery store Tuesday morning, March 4.

Vernon Fire Rescue Services put out the burning vehicle discovered in the parking lot of the Village Market on 19th Avenue in Mission Hill before 8 a.m.

A Vernon North Okanagan RCMP cruiser remained on-scene after the fire was extinguished, and yellow police tape surrounds the vehicle.

The Morning Star has reached out to the City of Vernon and RCMP for more information.
