Vehicle hits power pole, crashes down embankment in Lake Country

The driver was able to walk away with minor injuries

Lake Country firefighters and BC Ambulance Service are on the south end of Whisky Cove Road after a vehicle drove over an embankment.

The lone vehicle involved is believed to have hit a power pole before crashing approximately 30 feet down the cliff.

One person is being taken to hospital with minor injuries and according to fire crews, the driver was able to walk away from the incident. It's unclear what lead the vehicle to leave the road, however, the pavement was wet from the rain.

The truck will have to be towed from the embankment.

Whisky Cove Road is open to traffic.
