Watermain flushing starts for West 琉璃神社 customers on the former Sunnyside/Pritchard System on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Flushing will occur 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday and the schedule is subject to change due to weather and other factors.

An isolated, precautionary water quality advisory is in effect in the area while the work is underway and continues until further notice.

Flushing forces high-velocity water through hydrants to remove sediment that has accumulated in the distribution system鈥檚 mains. During flushing, customers may experience reduced water pressure and/or discoloration when crews are working at a nearby hydrant.

Residents can check area and learn what steps should be taken before, during and after flushing.

The city provides an alternative free source of drinking water at the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads.
