Jennifer McAnulty was excited to be back in Lake Country to host another Ghostly Garlic festival on Aug. 11. 

Owners McAnulty and Nick Forrester moved to Alberta to be closer to family after hosting the festival in 2022. 

The garlic farmer tried not to tear up as she spoke about missing the Lake Country community. 

"It's really been wonderful. Emotional for me in some ways just because we get to see everybody we know and love."

McAnulty added that they haven't found their market community yet since moving, attributing the struggle to being in a bigger city. 

"Everybody's in a rush, you know. It's just not the same as here."

Although she's hopeful they'll find their market community in Alberta, McAnulty is grateful to be back to host the event. 

The festival was bigger than ever with an estimated 75 vendors set up in and outside of the Oyama Community Hall. 

The event was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
