Salmon Arm Silverbacks goaltender Eli Pulver continues to frustrate the West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Warriors in their second-round BCHL playoff series.
Pulver stopped 27 shots as the Silverbacks shut out the Warriors 3-0 Wednesday (Apr. 24) night to take a 3-1 lead in the Interior Conference Semi Final.
West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç lost 2-1 in Game 3 on Tuesday night despite outshooting Salmon Arm 43-16.
Game 4 was over early as the Silverbacks scored all their goals in the first period thanks to efforts from Cole Cooksey (7), JJ Monteiro (4), and Patrick Raftery (3).
West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç goaltender Matthew DellaRusso turned aside away 21 of the 24 shots he faced in his seventh loss of the playoffs.
The game was also riddled with penalties, 31 overall, and almost evenly split with the Warriors committing 15 infractions and Salmon Arm 16.
The Warriors find themselves in a similar situation as the Cranbrook Bucks, the team they beat in the first round. West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç was up 3-0 in the series but the Bucks battled back to force a Game 7.
Game 5 for the Warriors and Silverbacks is on Friday (Apr. 26) night at Royal LePage Place at 7 p.m.
