It wasn’t for a lack of trying as the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Rockets fired 42 shots on net but lost 4-2 to the Spokane Chiefs on Tuesday night.

Rockets forward Andrew Cristall started the game collecting a new career milestone as he scored his 100th career WHL goal. The power play marker was his 31st of the season and assisted by Marek Rocak and Gabriel Szturc.

Just under four minutes later, the Chiefs Conner Roulette scored a shorthanded goal, his 34th goal of the campaign to tie the game.

ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç regained the lead at the 11:17 mark of the first when Kayden Longley found the back of the net for the fifth time this year. The goal was assisted by Carter Kowalyk and Trae Johnson.

After the first period, Spokane’s goaltender Cooper Michaluk stood on his head, making 40 saves in the win.

Saige Weinstein scored his seventh goal of the season for the Chiefs early in the second period to tie the game once again.

Just under two and a half minutes into the third period, Weinstein scored his second goal of the game and the eventual game-winning goal.

Rasmus Ekström added a goal late to double up the Rockets 4-2.

ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç’s netminder Jari Kykkanen made 25 saves in the loss.

Last night was also Tij Iginla’s 100th career game in the WHL.

The Rockets remain seventh in the Western Conference with a record of 24-26-3-0.

ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç is back in action this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 16 and 17) in Victoria against the Royals.
