琉璃神社 Rockets left-winger Jakub Stancl and defender Marek Rocak are taking home a bronze medals with Czechia following the IIHF 2025 World Junior Championship.
Team Czechia fell 4-1 to the U.S. on Jan. 4 putting them in the bronze medal match against Sweden.
Stancl started off strong scoring the first goal of the game less than four minutes in.
The Swedes fought back to tie up the game with two goals each at the end of the third.
Overtime turned into a shootout, with Stancl successful on his third shot against Sweden's goalie, Marcus Gidlof.
Czechia came out on top with a 3-2 victory.
The gold medal match will see the U.S. and Finland take to the ice today, Jan. 5 at 4:30 p.m.
