It was a goalie duel at Prospera Place on Wednesday night (Feb. 7) but the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Rockets came out victorious 2-0 against the Victoria Royals.
All the Rockets needed was two first-period goals to secure the win. At the 7:36 mark, Tij Iginla got his rebound and potted his team-leading 35th goal of the season to make it 1-0. Gabriel Szturc and Andrew Cristall collected the assists.

With the goal, Iginla is tied for fourth in goals in the WHL.
Five and a half minutes later, the Rockets current hot-hand Hiroki Gojsic scored his 14th goal of the season and fourth in two games, making it 2-0. Michael Cicek collected the assist.

Jari Kykkanen made 21 saves in the game to earn the shutout victory. All game long the Rockets peppered Royals goaltender Jayden Kraus with shots, who made 39 saves in the loss.
With the win, the Rockets are in sole possession of sixth place in the Western Conference with a record of 23-24-3-0.
The Rockets are back in action this weekend for a home-and-home series against the Kamloops Blazers.
Friday night’s contest is taking place at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops at 7 p.m. while Saturday’s game is back at Prospera Place at 7:05 p.m.
