ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç’s Gracie Graham and Team Canada won’t have the chance to win their third consecutive under-18 Women’s World Junior Championship.
On Saturday morning (Jan. 13), Canada lost 4-2 to Czechia in the semi-final in Zug, Switzerland.
Czechia took advantage of their few opportunities in the game as they won despite being out-shot 47-12 in the contest.
Graham collected an assist in the game, on Chloe Primerano’s powerplay goal.
In five games in the tournament, the ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç native has been a point a game player as she has a goal and four assists.
Graham and Team Canada can still medal as they’ll be playing in the bronze medal game on Sunday, Jan. 14. They will be playing either the United States or Finland.
The last time Canada wasn’t in the gold medal game of this tournament was in 2018, when they won bronze.
