For the third consecutive year, the West 琉璃神社 Warriors are paying tribute to their fans from Peachland.

On Saturday, Jan. 27 when the Warriors host the Chilliwack Chiefs, they鈥檒l be hosting their annual Peachland Warriors night.

The team will be wearing their Peachland jerseys and students from Peachland Elementary will each be receiving a free ticket. The team will be going to Peachland Elementary on Tuesday, Jan. 23 to play floor hockey with the students.

鈥淲e are looking forward to the Peachland Warriors game and the week leading up to it,鈥 said Mayor Patrick Van Minsel. 鈥淚ncluding the team visit to Peachland Elementary school on Tuesday, we encourage all Peachland residents to attend the game and cheer on the Warriors.鈥

Additionally, the 50/50 at the game will benefit the Peachland Lions Club.

鈥淭he Peachland version of the Warriors is a perfect 2-0,鈥 Van Minsel added, 鈥淲e look forward to keeping that undefeated streak alive.鈥

In 2021 and 2022, the Warriors wore the jerseys against Prince George, winning 5-0 and 4-3.

The special peach-coloured jerseys will be available for auction throughout the game.

Puck drop at Royal LePage Place on Saturday, Jan. 27 is at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available.
