Launching this spring, a $1,000 meal item will allow guests to sink their teeth into a variety of seafood.
The Grand Daddy costs $1,000, and can be shared between eight to 12 people, said owner Ross Derrick, of The Table Cafe at Codfather鈥檚 Seafood Market.

It鈥檚 two bottles of sparkling wine, oysters, lobsters, king crab legs, snow crabs, prawns, clams, mussels, corn, potatoes, it鈥檚 a full East Coast seafood boil, he said.
鈥淚t鈥檚 just a fun time, it鈥檚 just a party sort of thing. It鈥檚 (starting) on the menu on April 20,鈥 Derrick said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 really just a fun party for friends.鈥

The event requires 24 hours notice, he said.
鈥淚f it was six people, there鈥檚 no way in hell anyone could finish it.鈥
The popular food item was available on the down low since 2015, and it鈥檚 been slowly gaining a cult following.
鈥淭his year we decided to actually throw it on the menu,鈥 he said. 鈥淎nd it鈥檚 not served in a pretentious manner, I think seafood should be fun and quick and dirty.鈥

The Grand Daddy was first created for one of Derrick鈥檚 friends, who asked about a seafood boil for her family as they鈥檙e popular on the East Coast.
鈥淭hat was the first one and people slowly started knowing about it since then,鈥 Derrick said.
