An incident on Kalamalka Lake on Saturday prompted a quick response from RCMP.
Just after noon on March 22, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP officers assisted the Coldstream fire department after reports of a fishing boat being flipped on the lake.
One occupant of the boat managed to swim to shore, while another remained on the boat. A civilian boat was then used to retrieve the individual in the boat.
Both were then treated by ambulance personnel and transported to the hospital for hypothermia.
