BC Coroners Service investigate apparent drowning on Osoyoos Lake

BC Coroners Service is investigating an apparent drowning incident on Osoyoos Lake on Aug. 29.

BC Coroners Service confirmed Friday it is investigating a death on Osoyoos Lake following an apparent drowning incident on Aug. 29.

At 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Osoyoos RCMP and its partnering first responders attended to the scene of an apparent drowning near the Nk’Mip Campground, according to Sgt. Jason Bayda.

The investigation into the death is open and no further details will be provided at this time, representatives from BC Coroners Service said in an email.

RCMP also declined to provide more information, as the investigation is now in the hands of the provincial service.
