Caution advised after cougar spotted near Sicamous waterfront

The District of Sicamous is advising people to be cautious after a cougar sighting at the Nature Park.

The District of Sicamous is advising caution after a cougar sighting was reported by Shuswap Lake. 

In a June 6 Facebook post, the district shared "reports of a cougar sighting in the Sicamous Riverfront Nature Park," which is located at the end of Silver Sands Road and in close proximity to Beach Park. "Please use caution!" 

To report a conflict with wildlife that could pose a threat to public safety, call the Conservation Officer Service at 1-800-663-9453.
