In partnership with School District No. 74, the Village of Cache Creek has arranged for attendees to be shuttled to and from the service. The lots dedicated for parking are the two empty lots immediately north of the Starhouse Restaurant. The shuttles will begin transporting passengers to the service at 11 a.m., and continue to 2 p.m.

Following the service, the buses will begin transporting passengers back to the parking area. This will continue until approximately 5:30 p.m. or until all passengers have been returned to the parking area. There is no fee for this service.

The planning committee thanks everyone for their patience, understanding, and support.

The service starts at 2 p.m. It is being treated as a full which can include a number of traditional military-style honours and traditions. A reception at the Cache Creek Community Hall will follow the procession and service. The family is urging those who plan to attend to bring their own chair, as there might not be enough seating available in the cover-all at the park.

The E-Comm flags have been lowered to half-staff in honour of the fallen fire chief, a 30-year veteran with the Cache Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Cassidy had been missing since May 5 after being swept away by floodwater while in the line of duty, checking rising water levels in washed out areas of the community.

After of search-and-rescue efforts, his body on May 27 and recovered in the morning of May 28.
