A knocked-down tree has closed a road in Osoyoos following Wednesday afternoon's storm.
The tree is down between 100th and 108th aveunes, according to DriveBC.
A power line is also down on Highway 97 in Osoyoos, with a detour in effect.
RCMP, local fire crews and FortisBC are on scene at both.
Thousands of FortisBC customers remained without power, as of 5 p.m.
UPDATE: 3:55 p.m.
A new power outage in the South Okanagan is affecting 488 FortisBC customers on Wednesday afternoon.
The outage is reported east of Mount Baldy ski resort.
There is no current estimated time of restoration, according to FortisBC.

Thousands of FortisBC customers are without power in the Osoyoos area on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Power went out for 1,915 customers on the west side of Osoyoos Lake at around 2:45 p.m., according to the company.
An additional 554 customers are currently being affected due to a separate outage on the east side of the lake.
The estimated time of restoration for the first outage is at 4:50 p.m. FortisBC says it is currently unknown when power will be restored for affected customers on the east side of Osoyoos Lake.
An early fall storm hit the South Okanagan on Wednesday afternoon, with Environment Canada previously warning of thunderstorms with strong winds and heavy rain.
