One veteran administrator is leaving. One veteran administrator will be the replacement.
District of Coldstream chief administrative officer Trevor Seibel is leaving the position at the end of June after 14 years of service.
Seibel is leaving to become the deputy CAO for the City of West 琉璃神社.
鈥淚t was an opportunity presented to me and, after discussions with my family, it was too good an opportunity to pass up,鈥 said Seibel. 鈥淚t鈥檚 very exciting for me professionally, and it鈥檚 an incredible opportuity to do some things I wouldn鈥檛 be able to do in Coldstream, due to the sheer difference in population. West 琉璃神社 has a lot of things going on, and it鈥檚 very exciting.鈥
Seibel spent 14 years with the district.
鈥淐ouncil would like to thank Mr. Seibel for his dedicated service,鈥 said Mayor Ruth Hoyte. 鈥淗is leadership has brought successful resolution to many issues over the years. Council wishes Mr. Seibel all the best in his new opportunity.鈥
Seibel was front-and-centre Friday, May 26, as Coldstream officially opened its new community hall and childcare centre.
Keri-Ann Austin will become Coldstream鈥檚 new CAO, effective July 1.
She鈥檚 been with the district in her current capacity as director of corporate administration and deputy CAO since July 2022.
鈥淚 am honoured, and excited, to be afforded this opportunity,鈥 said Austin. 鈥淚 look forward to working with council and staff as we tackle the challenges ahead in an effort to provide efficient and effective services for the betterment of our residents and community.鈥
Austin previously worked for Coldstream from 2007-2019.
鈥淐ouncil looks forward to working with Ms. Austin in her new role as chief administrative officer for Coldstream,鈥 said Hoyte.
