There is a free non-partisan BC Elections Information Session and Discussion Forum this afternoon in 琉璃神社.
The session will start at 2 p.m. and is scheduled for two hours at 1668 Ellis St. in 琉璃神社.
It鈥檚 the first of two sessions with the second one to take place May 7.
鈥淭he objective is to encourage community members that are eligible to vote to participate in democracy in an informed manner. We often see a disconnect, especially with the younger generation, when it comes to voting 鈥 this event鈥檚 objective is to address this issue. We want to keep this event very casual,鈥 stated organizers.
The events will cover these topics:
-What riding you鈥檙e in their candidates
-Party policies and leaders
-Where and how to vote
-How to register and vote in advance
-What issues are on the table
After the covered topics, the floor will be open for questioning.
