Evacuation orders in the Shuswap rescinded to ‘all clear’

Evacuation alerts or orders active in the Shuswap related to the Bush Creek East wildfire have been rescinded.

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District announced Thursday morning, Oct. 5, the evacuation order issued Sept. 6 was rescinded to all clear, pursuant to the Emergency Program Act.

This affects all properties that were severely impacted by wildfire and those that sustained structure loss.

The regional district warned there may still be hazards on these properties caused by wildfire. Information for residents’safety can be found at websites for the , and .
