There will be short delays while AIM Roads works on Highway 97 north of Penticton near the pump station for the Sage Mesa water system.
The construction is scheduled to run from March 17 until April 4, and will also result in the closure of the southbound rest stop near the work site.
The work is being done on a 0.7 kilometre stretch of the highway between Wharf Street and Sage Mesa Drive.
The lane closure will be in effect 24-7 during the project, and reduced speed signage will be in place.
Travelers are also warned to be prepared to make sudden stops and to keep an eye out for traffic control personnel.
