West 琉璃神社 RCMP have confirmed that a driver involved in the crash is deceased.
The collision involved a small car and a semi-truck.
An investigation is ongoing.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or was in the area and has dashcam footage of the collision, and has not yet spoken to police, are asked to please contact the West 琉璃神社 RCMP at 250-768-2880, quoting file number 2022-42683.

An early morning collision in Peachland has Highway 97 closed in both directions.
Early Tuesday morning, a semi-truck and a vehicle collided on the highway south of Princeton Avenue.

There are no detours available for vehicles on their morning commute. Beach Avenue is also backed up because of the crash.
Some drivers told Capital News they鈥檝e been at a standstill for over an hour.
According to RCMP, the stretch of highway could be reopened in an hour.
