A ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç singer is among the finalists in a provincewide audition for an opening act to the Merritt Rockin’ River Fest headliner Sam Hunt.
Teigen Gayse is one of nine finalists seeking the opportunity to open for Hunt, the CMT Artist of the Year who will perform at the festival on Saturday, July 30.
For two months contestants bravely performed at eight entertainment venues across B.C., singing covers of their favourite songs or original work.
From that process, it has now been whittled down to Gayse and the other finalists for a singing showdown at Rockin’ River Fest on the Budweiser stage, Thursday, July 28, starting at 6:45 p.mn.
Other Okanagan residents among that group are Niki Watson, of Coldstream, and Louis Bigras, from Penticton.
