The Hullcall Mountain wildfire is now considered held.

Smoke is still visible from the area in the North Okanagan. BC Wildfire reported the blaze to be held, meaning that it is projected, based on fuel and weather conditions and resource availability, to remain within the current perimeter, control line or boundary.

The blaze grew to 784 hectares before being held, which BC Wildfire said the increase in fire size is attributed to the successful planned ignition operation that took place on Saturday, Aug. 10 and not due to any additional growth.

The fire was discovered on Aug. 4 and is suspected to be caused.

The 60 properties previously on evacuation order near the Hullcar Mountain wildfire northwest of Armstrong were downgraded to an evacuation alert on Sunday.

The Township of Spallumcheen also says the 60 properties that have been on evacuation alert since Aug. 6 are no longer on an alert.

Visit the township's  for a full list of properties on evacuation alert and what you should do when under an alert.
