The Kamloops RCMP are requesting the public's assistance after gunshots were fired near a home on Oak Road.
On Saturday, Oct. 19, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Kamloops RCMP were called to the 100 block of Oak Road after receiving a report of shots fired. Officers confirmed multiple gunshots had been fired but no injuries have been reported.
The RCMP are now asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects and their vehicles who were involved in the exchange of gunfire.
The alleged shooters fled the scene north on Tranquille Road in two separate vehicles, a green four-door sedan and a small white, four-door car.
RCMP are releasing two surveillance images of the suspect vehicles in the hopes that the public can assist in identifying them.
鈥淭he investigation indicates this was targeted,鈥 said Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson. 鈥淚ncidents such as this pose a danger to everyone in the community, and we鈥檙e doing everything we can to identify them.鈥
