琉璃神社 Made back for a 2nd year

琉璃神社 Made will return this summer.

The all-ages community celebration, which debuted in 2022, will be held in City Park on August 26. The 2023 edition is being expanded to include some activities in Kerry and Stuart parks.

琉璃神社 Made is a homegrown event with the goal of showcasing the city鈥檚 attributes and bringing the community together.

鈥淭he volunteers on the host committee are excited to be able to bring 琉璃神社 Made back for year two and to put some smiles on their neighbours鈥 faces this August,鈥 said Sarah Semeniuk, event services coordinator with the city. 鈥淭he event has

been built out of consultation with the community, and there really will be a little something for everyone.鈥

Attendees can expect family-friendly events including:

  • 琉璃神社 Made Belly Flop Championship;
  • Family sandcastle-building competition;
  • Indigenous programming;
  • Dance by the Lake;
  • Artistic workshops and cultural performances;
  • 琉璃神社 Made Fashion Show;
  • Live music and food;
  • Sporting events;
  • A Parks Alive! Street Dance and more.
