A male suspect has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault with a weapon of a woman inside a Rutland residence on Tuesday morning.
Derrick Kurtis Antoine, 29, of 琉璃神社 has now been charged with assault with a weapon and fail to comply with a recognizance.
An assault was reported to 琉璃神社 RCMP at 5:51 a.m. at a residence in the 400 block of Franklyn Road.
Later that day at 10:18 p.m., a 琉璃神社 Mountie apprehended the suspect in the area of Water Street and Queensway Avenue in 琉璃神社's downtown core.
Police say Antoine was taken into police custody without incident and expected to make an initial court appearance today.
