The 琉璃神社 RCMP has located and arrested a suspect in a suspicious death investigation.
Mounties put out a plea for public assistance on Monday morning to help locate Lorence Williams, believed to be tied to a suspicious Sunday night death in Rutland.
One of those public tips helped mounties find and take Williams into custody.
鈥淥ur Serious Crime Unit continues to pursue all avenues of investigation into this suspicious death,鈥 states Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the 琉璃神社 RCMP. 鈥淎t this time, we do not believe there is any further threat to the public.鈥
The RCMP urges anyone with information about this investigation, to please contact the 琉璃神社 RCMP Serious Crime Unit at (250) 762-3300.

琉璃神社 RCMP is asking for the public鈥檚 assistance in locating a suspect connected to a suspicious death on Sunday night (May 30).
Police said they were called to a Rutland residence just after 10 p.m. after an adult male was found deceased at the home.
鈥淎t this time, we are not releasing the name of the deceased,鈥 Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said.
鈥淗owever, police believe that the victim and the suspect were known to one another.鈥
The 琉璃神社 RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and they are now looking for Lorence Williams, who police said is considered a suspect in the death.
Williams is described as a 40-year-old Black male with short black hair, six feet tall with a thin build.
鈥淚f Lorence sees or hears this, we ask him to contact the police of jurisdiction immediately,鈥 Noseworthy said.
Should you encounter Williams or have information on his whereabouts, do not approach him. Instead, police advise calling 911 immediately.
