Local and wildfire firefighters are battling a fire sparked in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park Thursday afternoon.
The tree blaze was caused by the lightning storm, according to Coldstream Fire Rescue.
"The is here and have a heli bucketing the fire," Coldstream advises. "Please stay clear of the helicopter bucketing from Kal Lake."
Those trying to sneak a peek via air are also warned.
"Keep your drones on the ground, at the risk of up to $10,000 in fines and a year of jail time."
People are also asked to leave roads and trails in the park clear for emergency crews to move around and do their work.
