Progress has been made on two out of four new wildfires burning in the North Okanagan.
The spot-sized wildfire near Cherryville is now under control. Fire information officer Olive Norris-Leite said two initial attack crews attended to the blaze with three helicopters also responding.
Meanwhile, a fire directly south of the Sitkum Creek wildfire east of Sugar Lake is now being held at 0.02 hectares in size.
The other two North Okanagan wildfires that sparked Friday remain out of control at an estimated 0.009 hectares.
All four fires are believed to have been caused by lightning.

The fires are spot sized at an estimated 0.009 hectares. One of the fires appears to be only a couple kilometres south of Cherryville, according to BC Wildfire Service's interactive map.
All four fires are classified as out of control.

Another fire has been discovered in the North Okanagan.
A blaze southwest of Sugar Lake in the Silver Ireland area is an estimated .009 hectares in size.
The wildfire was discovered on Aug. 9 and is believed to be lightning-caused.
BC Wildfire is aware of the blaze and is responding to the area.
Northeast of this fire is the that is 1,261.9 hectares and was first discovered on July 18.
