Man missing from Penticton didn’t show up to meet police

The RCMP is seeking public assistance in locating Grant Johnson, 46 who was reported missing on Oct. 5.

Police were able to make contact with Mr. Johnson the following day after he was reported missing. He agreed to meet with officers from the Penticton RCMP detachment but he didn’t make it to the meeting, said police.

He was last seen when he checked into a nearby hotel and did not check out the following day, on Oct. 6, as scheduled. When police arrived, Mr. Johnson’s belongings were found, but he was not located.

Police searched the area of Apex Mountain where he was last believed to be not far from but didn’t turn up anything.

Police are concerned for his well-being and are asking anyone who may know of his whereabouts, to call police.

Johnson, is associated to a 2012 white Jeep Wrangler with the licence plate TR7 28A. That vehicle has not been found.

6ft tall

200 lbs

Brown hair

Brown eyes
