Penticton RCMP is advising the public that the 46-year-old man who was the subject of a missing person’s appeal on Saturday, Oct. 7, has been located deceased.
The death does not appear to be suspicious.
The man was reported missing by his family on Oct. 5.
Police were able to make contact with him the following day. He agreed to meet with officers but he didn’t make it to the meeting, said Penticton RCMP. He was last seen when he checked into a Penticton hotel and did not check out the following day, on Oct. 6, as scheduled. When police arrived, his belongings were found, but he was not located.
Penticton RCMP offers condolences to the man’s family and friends.
Penticton RCMP would also like to thank policing and community partners, the media and the public for their assistance.
