A Penticton woman missing since June 6, was found deceased according to RCMP.

RCMP stated on July 9 that the BC Coroners Service had taken over the investigation after it was determined no criminality was involved in her death.

Shy-Anne Kruger, a member of the Penticton Indian Band, was reported missing on June 6.

Police did not share any details as to when or where her body was located.

The Penticton RCMP offered their condolences to Kruger's family and friends.

Kruger had a court appearance scheduled for July 24, related to charges of assault with a weapon and breaches of a conditional sentence order.

As with previous recent deaths, those charges are likely to be dropped.
