Movie night fundraiser for Summerland Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre

Okanagan鈥檚 Wildlife Film Festival coming to 琉璃神社, in support of the Interior Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Summerland.

On Friday May 17, the non-profit animal rescue will be hosting its 4th annual spring fundraiser at

the Mary Irwin Theatre in 琉璃神社.

The Wild About Spring Film Festival will feature award-winning wildlife short-films produced in Canada, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.

This year鈥檚 feature film is the IMAX documentary Beavers- The Biggest Dam Movie You Ever

Saw.

Proceeds from the event will help Interior Wildlife to fundraise for a portable wildlife x-ray machine, first of its kind in the Okanagan.

Co-founder and veterinary technician Eva Hartmann said she expects a 鈥渟ignificant improvement of wildlife care once

we are able to afford [a portable X-ray machine].鈥

Doors for the fundraiser are open at 5:30 p.m. and the films start at 6:00 p.m.
