The Okanagan Military Tattoo has traditionally been held at Kal Tire Place in Vernon.

Rising expenses are forcing a major Vernon event to look elsewhere for a new home.

The Okanagan Military Tattoo is exploring new venue options outside of its hometown.

"We are initiating negotiations with other cities and venues to see if we can find a more cost-effective location for our future shows," the society said.

"We believe that relocating to a more affordable venue will help us maintain the quality of our performances while managing costs."

Anyone with ideas or those who can assist in the transition, is asked to contact the society at marketing@okanagantattoo.ca.

"The Okanagan Military Tattoo has always been about community, culture, and celebration," said executive director Norm Crerar. "As we navigate these changes, we are confident that with your support, we will continue to create unforgettable experiences. Together, we will find a way to keep the spirit of the Tattoo alive and thriving."
