Members of the Oliver Fire Department along with BC Sheriffs Service and other local first responders will once again take an icy-cold plunge to benefit Special Olympics on Friday, March 1 from noon to 2 p.m.

First responders to once again brave the chilly waters of the fire department’s portable tank for the 2024 Polar Plunge.

This year’s event will be held in the Oliver Buy-Low parking lot and include a barbecue by donation (all proceeds going to the Special Olympics). There will also be plenty of different emergency vehicles to checkout.

Oliver Fire and BC Sheriffs have been doing this fundraiser for years for Special Olympics, raising over $1,200 last year.

Everyone is welcome to cheer them on, enjoy some barbecue and make a donation.

If you would like to donate directly to the 2024 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics .
