Police previously asked for the public's help in identifying a person connected to recent thefts in the Okanagan.

Penticton RCMP say they have identified the person connected to a spree of recent thefts across the region.

On Aug. 4, police asked for the public's help in identifying an individual who had stolen from property and vehicles within a three-week span.

The incidents took place from Peachland to Osoyoos, typically at night, and involved the targeting of unlocked vehicles, bikes, and other property, according to RCMP.

In a media release on Aug. 10, police said the "person of interest" has been identified and thanked the public for their assistance.

It is unknown if any charges have been laid.

"No further information will be released," an RCMP media release reads.
