A trio of puppies are making lunch breaks a lot cuter at Piccadilly Mall.
The BCSPCA Shuswap branch brought three lab cross puppies, Archer, Hunter and Fisher, to a grassy spot outside the mall from 12-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 to introduce them to the public, garner adoption interest and finish off the organization鈥檚 Lock-In for Love fundraiser.
The fundraising campaign ran from June 1-17, and as the last day rolled around, BCSPCA Shuswap centre manager Meranda Dussault and volunteers wanted to go all out.
鈥淲e are overachievers,鈥 said Dussault. 鈥淲e did already achieve our goal, but there鈥檚 always room for more.鈥
Dussault set a small goal for the centre as she is currently running two shelters and wanted to make sure she could achieve what she promised.
鈥淚t鈥檚 my first event so I wanted to set the bar low, and I was a bit nervous,鈥 she said.
The Shuswap branch surpassed its $3,000 goal earlier in the campaign, more than doubling it without including anything they raise today.
Donations and volunteers are always needed and more information is available at the BCSPCA Shuswap Facebook page or at .
